Our website sells food from Michigan. We have baking mixes, dried fruit, huge seletion of jams, maple syrup, fruit syrup and salsa.
What inspired you to launch your own website?
The hope of making money and to learn how to have a site.

How did you decide on a name for your website?
We planned to sell western items.
What makes your website different from other, similar offerings?
We have looked for a variety of quality priced items. That will look great in a western decor.
What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)
To have it pay for itself.
How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?
At this point, very uneven. Time and money are losing fast.
If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?
I would increase my internet speed. So my time spent waiting would decrease. But at $135.00 a month I will have to keep waiting.
If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?
Yes, there are 6 of us working at it.
What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?
Learning cost of $1,500.00 and marketing costs a few hundred.
What has been your biggest challenge?
Getting other people to learn the system. Me having time to learn it all.
What method has been most successful for promoting your website?
So far nothing.
How has running your website differed from your expectations?
I really had no expectations, but it has taken a lot of time.
How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?
Three months on theberryhealthynut.com, 8 months or so for the other two. We have discussed keeping until Christmas.
